Updating School Location Settings and School Administrator Lists for Letter Templates

In simpldiscipline, many letter templates automatically pull information such as school name, address, phone number, logo, and a list of school administrators from predefined merge fields. This feature allows a single template to be used across multiple schools without needing individual templates for each location.

Who Can Update This Information:
Only users with the "super admin" role have the ability to update this information. It is not editable at the school level.

Steps to Update School Location Information and/or List of School Administrators for Letter Templates:

1. Access the Admin Area:
   Navigate to the admin area after logging into simpldiscipline.

2. Navigate to Locations & Schools:
   On the left side navigation bar, select "Locations & Schools."
   
   

3. Select the School to Edit:
   Click on the name of the school you want to update. A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to modify the display name, address, phone number, fax number, and the list of school administrators.
   
   

4. Updating the School Logo:
   If you need to update the school logo, submit a help ticket through this system or email the logo file to help@simpledu.org. The simpldiscipline team will handle the upload and configuration of the logo.

5. Save Your Changes:
   After making your updates, click the "Update Location" button at the bottom of the page. If you receive an error message related to your district office not having data configured, select "I know there are errors, update anyway" to proceed.
   
   

Impact of Changes:
Any new letters generated after these updates will automatically use the new information you provided.

NOTE:
This does not grant administrators "reviewer rights" to view discipline incidents. This only updates their name on the letter template. If you need to assign user rights, please see the article Updating User Roles & Permissions.
