Managing Withdraw Students in simpldiscipline

in simpldiscipline, there are certain limitations when working with withdrawn students due to the integration with the student information system (SIS). This guide explains how to search for withdrawn students, what visibility rules apply, and how to handle incidents involving withdrawn students.

Searching for Withdrawn Students
If a student has withdrawn and transferred out of your school district, you can still search for and view their information within simpldiscipline. If a student transfers from one school to another within the same district, you will no longer be able to view their record in simpldiscipline after the transfer. This is because their record is now associated with the new school.

To view withdrawn students, navigate to the Reviewer area and select “Student Quick Lookup” from the left-hand navigation menu. Be sure to check the box labeled “Include Inactive Students” to include withdrawn students in your search results.

Submitting or Editing Incidents for Withdrawn Students
You cannot submit new incidents or edit existing incidents for withdrawn students directly in simpldiscipline. This restriction is due to how the integration with the SIS is designed. If you need to modify existing incidents or submit new ones for a withdrawn student, this must be done directly within your SIS. Simpldiscipline does not support this functionality for withdrawn students.
