Reopening a Closed Truancy Task

Users can reopen a previously closed truancy task when they need to update notes, edit details, or make other necessary adjustments.

Important Behavior

When a closed task is reopened, the system will continue evaluating the student’s truancy status during the hourly sync. If the student now qualifies for a higher-level truancy task, the higher-level task may replace the reopened task after the hourly sync re-evaluates truancy criteria.

For South Carolina customers, if a Truant (AIP) task is reopened but the student already meets state requirements for an active truancy incident, the system will automatically close the reopened task during the hourly evaluation process.

This helps ensure truancy levels remain accurate and aligned with current criteria.
